Who we serve
When your labs are normal and you still feel unwell
You know your body best, and we start there. You get the symptom taken seriously, enough time to describe what you are feeling, and a deeper look for the root of what is going on. Most people here have already been told the bloodwork is fine, that it is probably stress, or that it is just their age.
Going home without an answer usually comes down to time. The visit is short, the slot allows one problem, and the lab report in front of everyone looks normal.

Sound familiar?
What usually brings someone to us
“Your labs are normal”
A reference range covers most of a population. It is not the same as normal for you, and it is not an answer to how you feel.
“It is probably just stress”
Sometimes it is. But stress is a conclusion you reach after looking, not a reason to stop looking.
“That is normal at your age”
Common and normal are different words. A great deal of what gets attributed to age is treatable, and some of it is the first sign of something worth catching.
You have stopped bringing it up
After the third time, most people quietly decide the symptom is not worth mentioning again. That is the point we would most want to hear from you.
What we do about it
What changes when we are your practice
You can raise every symptom
You do not have to choose which symptom to raise. We would rather hear the whole list, including the parts that feel too vague or too small to mention.
We look past the reference range
Advanced lipid and cardiovascular panels, thyroid beyond a single TSH, iron studies, hormones, sleep. A standard panel is only a starting point.
You will understand the answer
Our test is whether you could explain your own situation to someone else afterward. If you cannot, we have not finished explaining it.
Sometimes the honest answer is reassurance
Not everything is a disease, and we will tell you when we think you are well. You will hear our reasoning rather than being moved along.
We keep going after the first round
If the first round of tests does not explain your symptoms, we keep going. We schedule the next step rather than waiting for you to come back.

Exactly what is different at Naples Concierge Health
| The usual experience | What we do |
|---|---|
| The visit is short and you are asked to pick one problem. | You bring the whole list, and we work through it in one sitting. |
| A normal lab result closes the question. | A normal result narrows the question. We keep going. |
| You are told what you have, in medical words. | You are told what it means for you, until it makes sense. |
| You leave with a prescription and a follow-up in six months. | You leave with a written plan, a timeline, and a call scheduled before then. |
| If the treatment does not work, you are expected to report back. | If the treatment does not work, your next visit is already scheduled so we can change the approach. |
In more detail
How this works
Why “normal” results and real symptoms so often coexist
A laboratory reference range is built from the middle 95% of a sample population. It describes what is common. That is not the same as what is optimal, or what is normal for you. Consider a thyroid result at the very bottom of the range, an iron level at the floor, or a B12 in the low-normal band. Each can sit inside the reference range while causing symptoms that are entirely real.
There is also the question of what was measured. A standard panel is a small number of tests chosen because they are cheap, fast and useful across a whole population. It is a screen. It is not designed to investigate a particular symptom. If the test that would show the problem has not been ordered, a clean result tells you very little.
And some conditions do not show on bloodwork at all. Sleep apnea, early perimenopause, medication interactions, mood and anxiety disorders, and the aftermath of a viral illness are all diagnosed clinically. The diagnosis comes from a history taken carefully enough to recognize the pattern.
What a first visit here looks like
The first visit is long enough to go through your whole history: when symptoms started, what makes them better or worse, what has already been tried, what you were told each time, and what you privately suspect. That last question matters more than it sounds. People are usually right about something.
We review every medication and supplement you take, including the ones you have stopped mentioning. Medication effects are one of the more common explanations for a symptom that has been attributed to something else.
Then we decide together what is worth testing. We test what could change what we do next, rather than everything available. When the results arrive, we go through them with you.
What happens if the first round explains nothing
Frequently it will not, and we say so at the outset. Complicated symptoms often take several rounds, and some of the more useful information comes from watching how something responds to a change over a few months.
What is different here is that the process does not stall between visits. If the first hypothesis was wrong, we say so, we write down what we learned from it, and we schedule the next step. Keeping it moving is our job rather than yours.
Where the answer sits outside primary care, we refer you and stay involved. Our job does not end at the referral. We reconcile what the specialist says with the rest of your care.
Where we are not the answer
We cannot promise you a diagnosis. Some symptoms never get a clean name. What we can promise is that you will be taken seriously, that we will look properly, and that you will understand where things stand.
Questions
What people ask
My labs came back normal. Is there any point in seeing another doctor?
Yes. A normal result with ongoing symptoms is one of the most common reasons people call us. A normal standard panel rules out a specific short list of things. It does not mean nothing is wrong. The question worth asking is whether anyone ordered the test that would show the problem.
How do I know I am not imagining it?
You are almost certainly not. Symptoms that persist have causes. Some causes are serious, most are not, and a few are simply the way your body works. You deserve to be told which, and why.
Will you just run every test available?
No. Testing without a hypothesis produces false positives, unnecessary follow-up and real anxiety. We test what could change a decision, and we tell you what we are looking for before we look.
What if it really is stress?
Then stress is the diagnosis, and it has a treatment. It deserves the same plan, follow-up and seriousness as anything else. Stress and anxiety do real physical damage and are worth treating properly rather than being used as the end of a conversation.
I have already seen several doctors. Will this be different?
The main difference is time and follow-through. Most of the physicians you have seen were competent and short on time. We keep a small panel specifically so the visit can be long enough and the office has room to chase what happens after it.
Do I need to bring my records?
Bring what you have and we will request the rest. Gathering records is our work rather than yours. Previous results matter a great deal here, because a trend over three years tells us more than a single value today.
