What we treat

Thyroid disorders

We evaluate and manage thyroid disease, including an underactive or overactive thyroid and thyroid nodules. That includes the ongoing dose adjustment that thyroid treatment requires.

Common situations

What people bring us

  • The same dose for a decade without a recheck.
  • Being told your thyroid is normal while every symptom of thyroid disease continues.
  • A nodule found incidentally and left without follow-up.

How we approach it

What your care includes

01

Symptoms and results read together

TSH alone misses things. Symptoms, antibodies and the rest of the panel belong in the same read.

02

Dose management that continues

Requirements change with age, weight, pregnancy and other medication. We recheck rather than assuming.

03

Nodules followed properly

If something was found, it gets tracked on a schedule, and we keep to that schedule.

When to come in

If you are on thyroid medication that has not been reviewed in years, or you have thyroid symptoms and have been told your test was fine.

Questions

What people ask about thyroid disorders

My TSH is normal but I still have symptoms. Is that possible?

Yes, and it is a common and frustrating situation. It is worth a fuller evaluation, and it is also worth looking for causes outside the thyroid rather than assuming the thyroid must be the answer.
