What we treat

Diabetes, prediabetes and metabolic syndrome

We manage type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and metabolic syndrome as part of primary care. That includes talking through what is reversible in your case.

Common situations

What people bring us

  • A diagnosis, a prescription, and a follow-up in six months, with no explanation of what is happening in your body.
  • Not knowing that prediabetes and early type 2 can often be moved substantially.
  • Nutrition advice given without reference to your labs, or none at all.

How we approach it

What your care includes

01

You will understand what is happening

What insulin resistance is, what your numbers mean, and what changes them, in language you can use.

02

What reversal looks like in your case

For some people meaningful reversal is realistic. For others the goal is control and protecting the kidneys, eyes and heart. You deserve to know which conversation you are in.

03

Medication and lifestyle together

Including GLP-1s where appropriate, with the nutritional work alongside rather than instead.

04

We book the next visit before you leave

Rather than a six-month gap in which nothing happens and the number quietly moves.

When to come in

If you have just been diagnosed, were told you are "borderline" with no plan, or have had diabetes for years without a fresh look at your treatment.

Questions

What people ask about diabetes and prediabetes

Can type 2 diabetes be reversed?

Sometimes, particularly earlier and with significant metabolic change. Sometimes not, and the goal is good control and protecting the organs at risk. Which one applies to you depends on specifics we would need to go through.
