Established members can be seen by video or phone, including while traveling. Most questions do not need an office visit, and many do not need an appointment at all, because you can text your physician directly.

What you should know
Most things do not need an appointment
A rash you can photograph, a medication question, a result you do not understand, whether a symptom is worth worrying about. These need the judgment of a physician who knows your history. They rarely need an office visit.
That is why text is the first way to reach us. The value is not the technology; it is that the person reading the message already knows you, so the answer needs no preamble.
Knowing when virtual is the wrong choice
Some problems need a physical examination, and we will tell you when to come in rather than handle it remotely. Chest pain, abdominal pain, anything neurological, and anything where an examination would change the answer belong in a room.
Where we are not the answer
Across state or national borders there are real licensing limits on what can be done virtually. In those cases we provide support, guidance and coordination and help you find local care, and we will be clear about which one you are getting.

Is there a limit on virtual visits?
No. Membership is not a visit allowance, and we would rather you reached out early than waited.
Is there an extra charge?
No. Virtual and phone visits are part of membership, as is texting your physician.
Who answers when I text?
Your physician, during office hours, with coverage outside them. Not a call center and not a triage service.
Can you prescribe on a virtual visit?
For many things yes, within the state where you are located. Some medications require an in-person visit by law, and we will say so rather than leave you waiting on a pharmacy that cannot fill it.
