What we treat
Chronic kidney disease
We manage chronic kidney disease as the primary practice. That means protecting remaining function and reviewing every medication for kidney safety. It also means making sure you understand what your numbers mean, because most people with CKD have never had them explained.

Common situations
What people bring us
- A number on a lab report that went unexplained.
- Medications that are hard on the kidneys, taken without regular kidney monitoring.
- Not knowing whether this is stable or getting worse.
How we approach it
What your care includes
You will understand your stage
What it means, how fast it is or is not moving, and what changes the trajectory.
Every medication reviewed
Including over-the-counter ones and supplements. This is one of the highest-value reviews we do, and we do it at every visit.
Blood pressure and diabetes control
These are the two biggest levers on progression. We manage both while we monitor your kidney numbers.
Nephrology co-management
Where a specialist is involved, we make sure the plans agree and that you are not the one relaying them.
When to come in
If you have been told your kidney function is reduced and are not sure what that means, or you want your medications checked against your kidneys.
Questions
What people ask about kidney disease
Can kidney damage be reversed?
Established damage usually cannot, but progression can very often be slowed substantially, and that is worth a great deal. We will be honest with you about which part of that applies.
